If you read this blog, you have probably seen a few of the articles I have posted talking about the scientific benefits of music on the brain.
This article however states the obvious. Music is great stress relief and is fun!
I remember some of the toughest moments of my life have been softened by sitting down and playing my favorite instrument (the piano). Sometimes I would sit down at the piano angry and leave feeling just great.
Being able to concentrate and focus on music will help you break that fixation with whatever is bothering you and is excellent for emotional coping.
Also, music is just a great way to get together with friends and have a good time!

I have a friend who saw a couple of ads regarding piano lessons, and it got him curious. I like what you said about how this can help you vent out your anger and de-stress. I should recommend this to him so he'd consider trying those lessons out!
