Students always ask me where to find good piano pieces to play that are fun and aren’t too difficult to play. It can be challenging especially if you pick pieces that use techniques that you haven’t mastered yet. Using the two main goals of…fun and easy… I’m going to provide you with some great resources today to help you find all the piano music you can imagine playing! You might want to bookmark these sites as you read through this so you can explore them more in depth at a later time; especially while watching the video at the end which will help you visually find and explore each one yourself.
The best way to really utilize all of these resources to your best advantage is to take some time to find several different easy pieces to learn and play. Once you have them mastered then find several more and do the same thing. You don’t want to spend too much time just looking for pieces. After you’ve spent a week on the ones you first selected then it will be a fun reward to go and look at the same site as before or even a different one to find the next week’s treasure trove of what you’re going to practice on and accomplish that next week. Combined with steady work on your scales and exercises, this vast amount of pieces that you can access mostly for free with really enhance your hard practicing and make it fun to keep learning and growing.
